The Beni-Jomsom road, which connects Mustang district to the national highway, and the Beni-Darbang road, which links three local levels of Myagdi district to its headquarters, have been blocked since this morning due to landslides at several locations.
Vehicular movement along the Beni-Jomsom road came to a complete halt after landslides struck Majhkharja in Raghuganga Rural Municipality-2, Sukebahar in Annapurna Rural Municipality-3, and Mahabhir, according to the District Traffic Police Office in Myagdi.
Similarly, Chief of the District Traffic Police Office, Bishal Darji, said the Beni-Darbang road was obstructed by landslides at Beni Municipality-4 and Phaparkhet in Mangala Rural Municipality-2.
The disruption of traffic has created difficulties for locals who rely on these roads for daily travel and transport. Police said efforts are currently underway to clear the debris and resume vehicular movement.
