Prohibitory order, transport suspension in Kathmandu for 1 week from Thursday

Kathmandu, April 26

Chief district officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur districts in the Kathmandu valley have decided to impose a prohibitory order in the districts from Thursday (April 29) midnight.

A meeting of the CDOs held on Monday afternoon decided to impose the order to be effective from 6 am on April 29 to 12 am on May 6.*

A decision has been made to close all shops except those selling grocery and medicines and suspend the movement of private and public vehicles also, according to a source.

Hotels and restaurants can provide takeaway services during this period, it has been learned.
