Kathmandu, June 9
Nepali Congress influential leader Prakash Man Singh says Nepali people cannot trust his party just because of the role it had played in the history of Nepal.
Addressing a meeting of his cadres in Surkhet district of Karnali province on Sunday, he said the party must improve in order to win the trust of people.
He was of the view that the party’s roles in past democratic movements from 1950 to 2006 could not be enough to take people into confidence.
Singh, an outspoken critic of the party president Sher Bahadur Deuba, demanded that the party adopt a new structure as per the federal model and the leadership be capable of ending internal disputes.
He said the party leadership should take suggestions of its cadres collected during the recent national awareness campaign seriously.
