Kathmandu, April 19

The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police says it arrested seven people in Kathmandu on the charge of practising medicine by showing fake credentials.

They were arrested at various places of the valley, informs SP Ganga Panta, the chief of the bureau.

Preliminary investigations have found that they had submitted fake school certificates to pursue and obtain medical science degrees from Nepal, China and Bangladesh.

The arrestees were paraded during a press meet in Kathmandu on Monday.

A few weeks ago, the bureau had launched an operation to look into complaints of fake academic documents.
