Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to visit China with a 40-member government delegation. In addition to the government officials, representatives from the business and industrial sectors will also accompany the visit.
The total number of participants in the delegation is yet to be finalised.
According to foreign ministry sources, Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba will depart for China on Thursday. She is scheduled to return to Nepal on Saturday before joining Prime Minister Oli on Monday for the official trip to China.
“Minister Rana Deuba will return to Nepal on November 30 and depart for China again on December 2 with Prime Minister Oli,” stated a source from the ministry.
The delegation is expected to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping on December 4. “A high-level meeting could take place the day after the Prime Minister’s arrival, but the official itinerary is yet to be confirmed,” the source added.
