Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has assured the public that his government will provide all the citizens with the Covid-19 vaccines before the House of Representatives elections that the government has recently announced to hold in November.

Speaking with a group of journalists close to his CPN-UML party at his residence on Sunday, Oli said the government was in conversation with various vaccine-producing countries and development partners to receive the vaccines as grant support and purchase.

Oli spent most of the time of his over-two-hour interaction in defending why the decision to dissolve the House was the only choice available to him and in criticising opposition parties.

The elections, however, are uncertain with all other big political forces demanding the House reinstatement. Many others fear the pandemic effects will delay the voting.
