PM Karki reiterates unity of NRNA will prove to be a milestone

Kathmandu, November 30

Prime Minister Sushila Karki has expressed the confidence that the unity declaration of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) will prove to be a milestone.

Addressing the NRNA, International Committee Unity Declaration Programme at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar today, she called on the NRNA to understand the non-resident Nepalis’ interests and needs and to contribute to Nepal’s development and progress with a sense of being Nepali wherever they are.

PM Karki assured that the government will do its best to create an environment where non-resident Nepalis can enjoy the rights and facilities provided by the constitution and law. “Nepalis working abroad have hardships also.

Success comes after hard work. Nepalis living abroad have love for their country and soil. Do whatever you can for your land,” said Prime Minister Karki. Stating that much damage occurred, including to national heritage, during the Gen Z movement, she said it is as if stones were thrown into a calm pond and this needs to be evaluated.

“We expect your further support and suggestions for the interest and development of the country.” The Prime Minister emphasised that those who lose in elections should allow the winners to work, and the losers should be motivated to perform well thinking that they will get another opportunity and responsibility next time, and that political parties should also learn from the unity of the NRNA.
