Kathmandu, August 26
More than 100 people have been rescued from areas affected by the devastating floods in Rasuwa, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
The rescued people include 85 from Dhunche, 13 from Timure, five from Mailung, four from Betravati and three from Trishuli.
All of them were rescued by Nepal Army and private helicopters deployed to the flood-affected areas.
A sudden flood in the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa on Wednesday caused widespread destruction across Rasuwa and downstream districts including Nuwakot, Dhading and Chitwan.
Search, rescue and relief operations are continuing in the affected areas.
