Nepal registered their third victory in the ICC World Cricket League defeating the Netherlands in a close contest by 19 runs, thanks to an all-round performance by captain Paras Khadka.

Khadka, who was dismissed for a duck in the first of the two-match series played in Amstleevan, steadied the ship after Nepal lost openers Anil Mandal (5) and Gyanendra Malla (39). Khadka put up a match-winning 118 run partnership with Sagar Pun (45) for the fourth wicket.

Khadka made 84 before getting out in the 44th over.

A cameo from Binod Bhandari (17 off 14) and runs from the tail saw Nepal make 217 runs in their allotted overs.

Khadka then returned with the new ball with pacer Sompal Kami at the other end. He got rid of the dangerous (8) and number three Barresi. The Dutch side fumbled after the losses, but van der Merwe (56) and Gruijters (44) put up some resistance. Merwe was bowled by Sandeep Lamichhane and Gruijters Basanta Regmi.

The Dutch side could only make 198 runs before getting bowled out in 48.3 overs.
