The teaser of the Nepali film Paari Butol, directed by Ganesh Dev Pandey, has been released. The teaser introduces the film’s main characters gradually, showcasing their looks and personalities, clearly indicating that the film belongs to the gangster genre.
According to writer-director Pandey, Paari Butol is not just a gangster film. It is a story about youth, their families, life struggles, and the normalisation of the manipulations they face in the race for success.
To make the characters appear believable and realistic on screen, the production team undertook extensive preparation. The cast was selected through auditions involving around 1,000 participants. To bring depth to the performances, the actors underwent a six-month acting workshop and a one-month action workshop before filming began.
Produced by Laxmi Shrestha, the film has Manisha Adhikari as co-producer. The cast includes Anup Baral, Diya Maskey, Kameshwar Chaurasiya, Divya Dev, Suvarna Thapa, Niriksha Ghatani, Tufan Thapa, Abiral Pratap Adhikari, Kiran Shrestha, Suyog Timsina, Sushil Sitoula, Bikram Shrestha, among others.
The film also features action by NB Maharjan, editing by Lokesh Bajracharya, art direction by Manita Sundas, and location sound by Rohit Baral. Poster and publicity design are by Royal Bhimsen.
