Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s visit to India next week will provide an opportunity for the two countries to review wide-ranging partnership.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs, in a statement on Friday, said that Oli will pay a State Visit to India from April 6-8, and will be accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya and a high-level delegation.

According to the statement, Oli will call on the President and the Vice-president and hold talks with Prime Minister Modi. Foreign minister Sushma Swaraj will also call on the visiting Prime Minister.

“India and Nepal enjoy age-old, special ties of friendship and cooperation. The upcoming visit will provide an opportunity to the two sides to review wide-ranging cooperative partnership, and to progress it further for the benefit of the two peoples,” said the ministry.

In addition to his official engagements in New Delhi, Oli will visit the GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand.
