Okhaldhunga, May 5
A lightning strike has killed one person whereas another got injured at Tarkerabari, Likhu rural municipality-8 of the Okhaldhunga district on Wednesday.
The victim has been identified as Dev Bahadur Darju (44) whereas the injured is Megh Bahadur Darji (40). The two had been hit by the strike when they were resting in the open yesterday afternoon.
They were taken to the Tamakoshi hospital in the neighbouring Ramechhap district for treatment, but Dev Bahadur succumbed, according to police.
Megh Bahadur, however, has been referred to the Patan Hospital in Lalitpur for further treatment.
