Applications called for NYEF KTM Startup Awards

The Kathmandu chapter of the Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs Forum (NYEF) says it is going to organise the NYEF KTM Startup Awards and has called for applications.

NYEF KTM Startup Awards is a premier competition and boot camp for enthusiastic and driven entrepreneurs who aim to nurture their startups into scalable businesses, the organisation says in a statement. The event is targeted towards startups that are in the market for less than five years.

“The objective of the event is to develop a business ecosystem to promote youth entrepreneurship through the means of exposure, mentorship and investment to these startups.”

In order to take part in the NYEF KTM Startup Awards, the entity should be officially recognised and registered by the government of Nepal. Any entities registered outside Nepal or has a parent/sister concern outside Nepal will not be eligible. Likewise, an entity owned by any NYEF member shall not be eligible.

The top three awardees will be given prizes of Rs.400,000, Rs.200,000 and Rs 100,000 respectively.

The registration for participants opened on August 26. Interested startups need to browse the award website for registration.
