No military drill in guise of disaster management: MP Gurung

Kathmandu, May 21

Nepali Communist Party lawmaker Dev Prasad Gurung has raised questioned over the ‘military exercise’ currently being held in Pokhara.

Around 220 soldiers from Nepal, along with the United States and six other nations, are taking part in the ‘disaster management’ drill, says the lawmaker from Kaski.

Speaking in Parliament, Gurung accused the army was conducting a military drill in the name of disaster management. This is against our national interest, said the former minister. He urged the Defence Ministry and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to look into the matter.
