Chitwan, July 5
Senior leader of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel says the new leader of the party should be chosen through consensus.
At a press meet organised by Press Union Chitwan chapter, Poudel also said that he was not going to lay claim for the leadership if such consensus a was forged within the party.
He also stressed on unity in the party. Former Deputy Prime Minister Poudel said that the Nepali Congress was holding discussions within the party to be present itself as a strong opposition in Parliament.
He argued that the people were looking for an alternative to the present government as it has failed to meet the aspirations of the people.
