Kathmandu, June 24
Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari says the central bank will issue the new monetary policy for the new fiscal year in the third week of July.
The new fiscal year will begin on July 16.
Generally, the government launches the annual policy before the beginning of the new fiscal year. However, that could not be possible this year due to the lack of preparations.
In an interview with Onlinekhabar, the chief of the central bank says stakeholders are still providing their suggestions about the policy and the bank will incorporate genuine suggestions. He assures that the policy will help the economy rattled by the Covid-19 crisis revitalise.
“We will manage everything. We will prepare different remedies for people facing different difficulties.”
