NEPSE: The hotel group shines in the stock market, NEPSE at 1966 points

On Thursday, the last day of the week’s trading, the stock market index NEPSE increased by 5.63 points (0.28 per cent) compared to the previous day. After the increase of that number, NEPSE has remained at 1966 points.

When the price of 115 companies increased, 115 decreased while 14 remained stable. A total turnover of Rs 3.12 billion was made. Even though the NEPSE index increased by a few points, the hotel and tourism group increased by 342 points (6.96 per cent). This group managed to keep the overall market green on Thursday.

With the improvement in the number of tourists, the profits of the hotels have been good. The high growth in this group has been seen due to the increase in the expectations among the investors that the hotels will produce good third-quarter financial statements.

Apart from the hotel group, the banking sector increased by 4 points, development bank by 32, finance by 14, hydropower by 4 and the non-life insurance group increased by 16 points. However, Life insurance decreased by 43 points, products by 7 and microfinance group by 38 points.
