NEPSE: Stock market rose by 3.02 per cent

The stock market rose 3.02 per cent on Tuesday. NEPSE index increased by 75.33 points and remained at 2563 points. This number is the highest since March 30, 2022.

On this day, the transaction amount also increased slightly compared to the previous day. The previous day’s turnover was over Rs 13 billion, today it reached over Rs 14 billion. When the price of 220 companies increased, 20 decreased while 2 remained stable. The indicators of all sectors have increased.

Sectors like Banking increased by 2.39 per cent, Development Bank by 2.96, Finance by 2.53, Hotel & Tourism by 3.14, Hydropower by 3.97, Investment by 3.87, Life Insurance by 4.45, Manufacturing by 3.77, Microfinance by 1.39, Non-Life Insurance increased by 4.37, others by 1.73 and business group by 5.06 per cent. The index of the hotel and tourism group has reached the highest level of 6591 points so far.

Moreover, six companies’ prices increased by 10 per cent. Bottlers Nepal Balaju, Samriddhi Finance, Mandu Hydropower, Hathaway Investment Company, Nepal Warehousing Company, Courage Energy and Himalaya Energy Development Company increased by 10 per cent. The price of Universal Power increased by 9.8 per cent and People’s Power by 8.7 per cent.

The price of Ganapati Microfinance decreased by 5.8 per cent. Shivam Cement, AP Power, Himalayan Reinsurance, Sign Resunga Development Bank and Ngadi Group Power were ahead in terms of turnover.
