NEPSE: Stock market drops by 36 points

On the last trading day of the week, Thursday, the stock market dropped by 36.83 points. Along with the stock market, the trading volume has also shrunk. While the trading volume was Rs 13.72 billion the previous day, it has contracted to Rs 12.24 billion today.

The prices of 53 companies increased, while 188 decreased, and 2 remained unchanged. The indices of all sectors have declined.

The banking sector fell by 1.8 per cent, development banks by 1.1 per cent, finance by 0.9 per cent, hotels and tourism by 1.8 per cent, hydropower by 0.1 per cent, investment by 0.9 per cent, life insurance by 2.0 per cent, manufacturing by 0.9 per cent, microfinance by 2 per cent, non-life insurance by 1.8 per cent, trading by 0.6 per cent, and others by 0.5 per cent.

The prices of Kutheli Bookari Small Hydropower and Rasuwagadhi Hydropower increased by 10 per cent. Meanwhile, Mid-Solu Hydropower fell by 8.4 per cent, Miteri Development Bank by 7.8 per cent, and People’s Hydropower by 7.6 per cent.

The price of Three Star Hydropower fell by 10 per cent. Bin Nepal Laghubitta dropped by 5.8 per cent, NRN Infrastructure by 5 per cent, Taragaon Regency by 5 per cent, and Nadep Laghubitta by 4.7 per cent. Goodwill Finance, Api Power, Himalayan Reinsurance, Nepal Finance, and Radhi Power were among the top performers.
