NEPSE: Stock market at 26-month high reaching 2257 points

On Sunday, the stock market reached its highest point in almost 26 months. Compared to the previous trading, the NEPSE index increased by 52.97 points and remained at 2257. This figure is the highest since May 18, 2022, when the market was closed. The NEPSE index was at 2275 points on that day when the market was falling from the bull phase.

While trading was going on today (intraday), the NEPSE index reached its highest point since May 11, 2022. Within 2 minutes of the opening of the stock market, the NEPSE index increased by 86 points to reach 2290, but the circuit could not be broken.

The transaction amount on Sunday is also high. The turnover of Rs 7.8 billion the previous day reached Rs 7.62 billion today.

As the price of 201 companies increased, 36 decreased while 5 remained stable. On this day, the banking group itself has promoted NEPSE. That group increased the most by 3.74 per cent.

Others like Development Bank increased by 1.20 per cent, Finance by 1.33, Hotel and Tourism by 1.07, Hydropower by 3.30, Investment by 1.30, Life Insurance by 2.05, Manufacturing by 2.66, Microfinance by 0.82, Non-Life Insurance by 1.26, Other by 1.99 and business group increased by 2.21 per cent.
