Kathmandu, June 5

Nepal’s’ ruling party, CPN-UML, has said its government continues to receive support from neighbouring countries, that too with an ‘open heart’.

In a statement on Sunday, UML secretary Pradeep Gywali said all disagreements with a neighbouring country, which had surfaced in the past, have now been resolved. He added that the support provided with an open heart by the neighbouring countries during the peace process and in the aftermath of the quake has been commendable.

The party secretary said UML hopes that neighbouring countries (India and China) continue their support to the government and widen the areas of cooperation.

The statement comes few hours after a daily newspaper claimed that Prime Minister Oli, speaking at the party’s standing committee meeting on Saturday, criticised the US and India for not supporting his government. Gyawali clarified that Oli had never made such a remark.
