A Nepali student studying in Houston, Texas, USA, has been shot dead.
Muna Pandey, approximately 21 years old and originally from Bhojpur, Nepal, was found shot dead near her apartment close to Hillcroft in Houston, according to Drona Gautam, Vice President of the Nepali Association of Houston. Gautam stated that she was found with a gunshot wound to her chest.
Police are currently investigating the incident. It has been reported that the deceased came to the United States in 2021 on an F-1 visa as an international student. She was studying at Houston Community College.
According to apartment staff, an unknown person called on Monday afternoon to report a body inside the apartment room. Following this, the apartment staff informed the police. The police then discovered Muna’s body inside the apartment, having died from a gunshot wound. According to Muna’s friends, her phone had been switched off for two days, and it had not yet been recovered.
The Nepali Association of Houston’s Vice President, Gautam, has informed that Muna’s family in Nepal has been notified about the incident.
Recently, another Nepali, Deepak Oli, also died due to a gunshot.
