Kathmandu, January 22
Nepal’s journalists are gearing up for the election of their federation, which is to take place on May 3 this year.
According to FNJ, district committees, organisations and associate bodies affiliated to the federation will have to complete their general assembly within the second week of February. They will have to choose their representatives who will vote in the central-level elections.
Similarly, the federation has told affiliated bodies to send a list of active members to its central office by the first week of February.
FNJ elections take place every three years, on World Press Freedom Day.
