The main opposition party, Nepali Congress, is holding its Central Working Committee meeting at the party central office in Sanepa of Lalitpur on Wednesday.

NC Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma informs that the meeting taking place at 1:00 pm today would dwell on the party statute amended by the recent mahasamiti meeting, the crisis surrounding its sister wing Nepal Students Union and other contemporary political issues.

Mainly, the mahasamiti had recommended that the central member should be elected at ward level of the party structure and arrangement of reservation should be one time for one person in the party.

Likewise, the tenure of the Nepal Students Union central working committee had expired on January 16 so discussions would be held on how to solve the issue.

Top leaders of both the mother party and the student wing are divided over the issue.

Besides, the meeting would discuss the government’s performance and contemporary political affairs, Sharma shares.
