Nepali Congress President Deuba heads to India

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba embarks on a three-day visit to India on Friday.

Deuba, who will attend the India Foundation-organised ‘India Ideas Conclave’ in the Indian resort town Goa. The Foundation is considered close to India’s ruling party the BJP. It was the Foundation that organised a bilateral discussion on India-Nepal ties in Kathmandu to coincide with the visit of the Indian President to Nepal.

Deuba is scheduled to address the conference, which is to be attended by over 300 delegates.

The Congress chief will then head to New Delhi, where he is to speak at a programme at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He will also meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah and other leaders.
