Nine people, including the incumbent, have been short-listed for the post of CEO of Nepal Tourism Board, which had falls vacant after the tenure of the incumbent expires in the next few weeks.
The position has been seen as a crucial one as the country observes the Visit Nepal 2020 campaign. The Board had earlier announced a vacancy and made public the terms of reference for the post, currently filled by Deepak Raj Joshi. Following a round of screening, nine names have been short-listed for the job, the board’s secretariat said.
Those on the kist are: Kashi Raj Bhandari, Deepak Bastakoti, Deepak Raj Joshi, Dhananjay Regmi, Nabin Pokhrel, Bachchu Narayan Shrestha, Rohini Prasad Khanal, Santosh Bikram Thapa and Hikmat Singh Airee.
According to the secretariat, the short-listed candidates shall make a presentation to the board about their business plan for the job on January 16-17. The board will then name the new CEO after the presentations are evaluated.
