Kathmandu, October 14
Nepal has received special honour at the 23rd International Astronomy Olympiad (IAO) held in Sri Lanka on Sunday.
The IAO is an internationally-recognised annual astronomy scientific-education event for high school students.
Bishal Baral represented Nepal at the event.
The 23rd edition of IAO was held from October 6-14. Participants had fabricated astronomical tools, written proposals and working papers among others during the event.
Baral secured sixth position in the fifth National Astronomy Olympiad organised by Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO), shared NASO Chairperson Suresh Bhattarai.
