The jewellery market in Nepal has seen another record-level gold price on Wednesday.

As of the market price set by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, a tola of the fine precious yellow metal (24 carats) costs Rs 111,000.

This is the highest rate at which the yellow metal has been traded in the country, according to the federation.

This per-tola gold price set for today is Rs 2,000 dearer than that of Tuesday.

Previously, the highest gold price Nepal recorded was on March 19, 2023, when it was traded at Rs 110,000/tola.

Likewise, a tola of tejabi gold (22 carats) costs Rs 110,500. Meanwhile, a tola of silver costs Rs 1,440.

The gold and silver prices in Nepal are determined by a variety of factors, including international market forces and local conditions. Here are a few key factors that influence the prices.
