Nepal DPM Mahara leaving for China on Monday, Xi’s visit among agendas

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Krishna Bahadur Mahara is heading to China on Monday.

Mahara is heading to the northern neighbour in the capacity of special emissary of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

Minister Mahara is organising a press conference at 3 pm on Sunday to inform about his itinerary.

The Prachanda-led government has decided to send Mahara and another Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi as special emissaries to China and India.

During his China visit, Mahara will hold talks with Chinese officials about President Xi Jinping’s upcoming visit to Nepal. China’s President Xi is likely to visit Nepal in October.
