Kathmandu, December 8
The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 243,377 as of Tuesday afternoon.
The ministry says 1,382 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.
In this period, 8,947 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 799,686 people have been tested in the country.
As of today, 12,686 cases are active currently.
Among them, 8,047 are in home isolation, and 354 are being kept in ICUs and 58 people are being kept on ventilators.
The recovery rate as of Tuesday is 94.11 per cent.
Of the total cases so far, 229,054 people recovered whereas 1,637 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 1,621 people have been discharged whereas 23 deaths have been reported.
Over 500 people are quarantined across the country.
