Kathmandu, December 9
The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 244,433 as of Wednesday afternoon.
The ministry says 1,056 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.
In this period, 6,286 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 805,972 people have been tested in the country.
As of today, 12,245 cases are active.
Of the total cases so far, 230,537 people recovered whereas 1,651 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 1,483 people have been discharged whereas 14 deaths have been reported.
Over 500 people are quarantined across the country.
