Nepal Covid-19 tally: 1,014 new cases, 1,628 recoveries, 20 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, December 7

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 241,995 as of Monday afternoon.

The ministry says 1,024 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 6,220 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 790,739 people have been tested in the country.

As of today, 12,948 cases are active currently. Among them, 8,060 are in home isolation, and 332 are being kept in ICUs and 53 people are being kept on ventilators.

The recovery rate as of Monday is 94 per cent.

Of the total cases so far, 227,433 people recovered whereas 1,614 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 1,628 people have been discharged whereas 20 deaths have been reported.

Over 500 people are quarantined across the country.
