Nepal announces national teams for Kho Kho World Cup 2025

Nepal has announced its national men’s and women’s teams for the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup 2025, set to take place in New Delhi, India, from January 13 to 19.

The Nepal Kho Kho Association selected 15 players for each team following a month-long closed training session held at the covered hall in Kirtipur.

The men’s team will be led by Hemraj Paneru and includes Janak Chand, Samir Chand, Bishwas Chaudhary, Suraj Pujara, Rohit Kumar Verma, Yaman Puri, Bed Bahadur Wali, Jhalak BK, Bikral Singh Ratgaiya, Bishal Tharu, Rajan Bal, Jogendra Rana, Bharat Saru, and Ganesh Bishwakarma.

The women’s team, captained by Saraswati Kadayat, features Manmati Dhami, Puja Od, Asha Tharu, Deepa BK, Nisha Shahi, Karma Kumari Shahi, Kanchan Chaudhary, Punam Tharu, Samjhana BK, Deepa Kumari BK, Khusbu Rana, Barsha Pandit, Gita Chaudhary, and Anisa Gole.

The men’s team will be coached by Bikki Raj Maharjan, while Lakshmi Narayan will coach the women’s team. Additional coaching support will be provided by Kayamuddin Mansoor and Usha Kunwar Magar.

Nepal’s men’s team will play the tournament’s opening match against hosts India on January 13 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium.
