Kathmandu, September 12
A Nepal Airlines flight from New Delhi to Kathmandu made an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport following a malfunction of one of its wings, local media reported.
According to reports the flight RA -218, which took off at around 8 pm local time, landed back at the airport within 32 minutes after the pilot observed that one of the A320’s wings had malfunctioned.
A total of 160 passengers are reported to have been on board. The plane landed on runway 28 of the airport, and has been sent to a bay where it is parked. NAC officials from Kathmandu are going to Delhi to inspect the plane on Monday morning.
There were no reports of injuries.
