Kathmandu, January 19
Nepa: National Party has expelled its lawmaker Laxman Rajbanshi on the charge of engaging in activities that are against the party’s policies.
The party said it has also terminated Rajbanshi’s party membership. In a press release, the party said it decided to expel Rajbanshi, a lawmaker under proportionate representation system, for supporting the movement against ethnic identity.
The release, which bears the signature of party general secretary Bijaya Prakash Sainju, also accused Rajbanshi of defying the party’s written directives and engaging in a reactionary movement that is against identity.
