CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli says domestic and international forces are teaming up against the UML in fear that the party might get majority seats in the upcoming civic elections.
Speaking at a programme in the capital organised to felicitate volunteers, artists, doctors and mediapersons who took part in the party’s Mechi-Mahakali campaign, Oli said all heavy-weight political parties are one side of the beam balance while the UML is alone on the other side. “But even when they combine forces, they are no match for us,” said Oli.
The former Prime Minister alleged that the ruling coalition was put together by an international power and it would not do any good for the country. Criticising the Nepali Congress, Oli said the Nepali Congress is scared that the UML will win the elections and that is why it is forming alliances against its main rival.
Meanwhile, the UML will organise a separate programme in Province No 2, where its campaign was stalled following protests in Saptari.
