Narayangadh landslide: Nidhi directs security forces to rescue injured

Kathmandu, April 3

Nepal’s Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi has directed security forces to mobilise its resources to rescue people injured in the Chitwan landslide on Monday morning.

At least two people have died and more than 10 injured in the incident that took place near Ghumaune, Chitwan, along the under-construction Mungling-Narayangadh road section of the East-west Highway.

Teams from the Nepali Army and police have been deployed in the area. The Nepali Amy’s choppers are also on standby to ferry the injured to the hospital.
