Kathmandu, September 2
The Nagdhunga Tunnel Road has been opened to all vehicles heading from Kathmandu towards Muglin, except vehicles carrying petroleum products and two-wheelers.
Traffic along the Nagdhunga-Pattale Ban section has been affected after the road subsided. The Department of Roads said vehicles carrying petroleum products and motorcycles are currently being allowed to travel one-way along the existing road at the affected section, while other vehicles are being diverted through the tunnel.
According to the department, repair work at the subsided section will begin only after a technical assessment. Discussions are underway on fully reopening the road after the repair work is completed.
