Under the new rates, cars, vans, pickups, tractors, microbuses and other light vehicles will be charged Rs 65 when entering Kathmandu through the tunnel and Rs 60 when travelling out of the valley.

Minibuses and mini-tippers or trucks will pay Rs 115 to enter Kathmandu and Rs 80 to leave.

Buses and trucks will be charged Rs 260 when entering Kathmandu and Rs 200 when travelling out.

Multi-axle trucks and vehicles carrying heavy equipment will face a fee of Rs 600 when entering Kathmandu and Rs 250 when exiting the valley.

The fees will apply to vehicles using the tunnel from the effective date specified in the project’s notice.
