Kathmandu, March 26
Representatives from AAR Corporation, USA, are arriving in Kathmandu on April 8 to sign an agreement with Nepal Airlines Corporation on the sale of two wide-body Airbus aircraft.
According to NAC, negotiations over the purchase of the two aircraft have concluded and both parties are ready to sign a formal agreement.
NAC Executive Director Sugat Ratna Kansakar said,” We have just negotiated the deal. The company’s representatives will come to Nepal on April 8.”
NAC selected AAR Corporation’s bid to purchase the aircraft in February this year. On March 15, Nepal’s flag carrier sent $1 million to the corporation as advance.
The two wide-body aircraft come with a price tag each of $110.48 million. Both aircraft are scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu by January 2018.
