Kathmandu, March 21
The Mungling-Narayangadh section of the East-west Highway, which is being expanded to accommodate four lanes, will remain shut during the day for some time beginning next week, authorities say.
According to local officials, the decision will come into effect on Tuesday next week. Vehicles will not be allowed to ply the road section from 10 am to 4 pm.
They have also decided to sprinkle water on the under-construction road four times a day to stop dust from billowing. Local police will be mobilsed to monitor whether the contractor is doing the job or not.
