Kathmandu, November 25
Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Yogesh Bhattarai says he will use Rs 100,000 that he received as his sum insured for insuring himself against Covid-19 to insure other 300 locals of his home district, Taplejung.
Minister Bhattarai had been infected by the coronavirus in September. Bhattarai’s personal secretary Prem Guragain says the minister received his sum insured recently and he will use that money to insure 300 helpless people in his constituency against the infection.
Those benefiting include the poor, students, helpless people, and workers, according to Guragain.
It has been learned that Bhattarai has already insured 1,276 people in the district against Covid-76.
