Dipayal, April 2
A massive fire has engulfed areas surrounding a local petrol station in Dipayal’s Pipalla Bazaar.
The fire, which started is GB Petrol Pump, continued to spread for a long time as firefighters in Dipayal said their fire engine was down for maintenance. Authorities then called a fire engine from Dadeldhura’s Amargadhi, which took more than two hours to arrive.
Petroleum products stored by the station have caught fire, and drums containing fuel have exploded. The fire has already consumed six shops and two motorcycles.
No human casualty has been reported so far.
Police and locals have doused the fire.
