Kathmandu, June 2
Nepal Communist Party Maoist Centre’s Politburo meeting is going to convene in Kathmandu today to induct more members into the secretariat and the central committee.
The meeting at the party’s HQ in Paris Danda is likely to pass a proposal to form a 241-member Politburo.
A proposal to form a 75-member standing committee and 241-member Politburo was passed by the party HQ yesterday.
The meeting is also expected to form a 999-member central convention organising committee. According to party sources, the erstwhile UCPN-Maoist is to get 600 sears, the former CPN Maoist (Revolutionary) leader Ram Bahadur Thapa’s supporters are to get 300 seats, and 99 seats are to be divided among the supporters of Mani Thapa, Matrika Yadav and others.
