Kathmandu, August 30
The Nepal LP Gas Industry Association has decided to provide 1,250 filled gas cylinders as relief for citizens affected by the devastating flood.
Association chairman Diwan Bahadur Chand announced the commitment.
He said the association extended this support, recognising that disaster is not one person’s problem alone but a shared responsibility for everyone, keeping in mind the immediate needs and hardships of the affected citizens.
The 1,250 filled LP gas cylinders provided by the association will be distributed to the targeted groups through the Nepal Oil Corporation.
The association expressed sorrow over the loss of life and property in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and other districts caused by the devastating flood that struck the Bhotekoshi River on the morning of the 10th of Bhadra.
Noting that all organisations are currently engaged in humanitarian work during this difficult time, the association said it is providing this relief material as part of fulfilling its own social responsibility.
