The elevation of fellow Nepali Congress lawmaker Gagan Thapa as Minister for Health has made lawmaker Dhan Raj Gurung both happy and sad.
Thapa had registered at the Legislature-Parliament a proposal of public importance, seeking discussions on demands of Dr Govinda KC like an impeachment motion against Lok Man Singh Karki, chief commissioner, Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.
On Friday, Thapa became Health Minister.

Congress lawmaker Gurung says that with Thapa in the chair of Health Minister, the proposal is gone for good, pointing probably at Thapa’s moral dilemma of sorts. Through twitter, Gurung said he is extremely happy on Thapa’s elevation and also extremely sad because there will be no discussion on the proposal.
Gurung said the proposal was against anarchy prevailing in the country. Lawmakers Gurung and Shyam Shrestha had seconded the proposal. The selection committee has not yet selected this proposal for discussion.
