Vehicular movement along the Ridi-Wami road section in Chandrakot Rural Municipality-8, Gulmi, has come to a complete halt following a landslide triggered by continuous rainfall.
According to DSP Ganga Bahadur Saru of the District Police Office, Gulmi, the landslide struck the road near Tallo Phant, blocking all traffic.
The Ridi-Wami road is one of the key transportation routes in the district, and its closure has severely affected daily commuters and travelers.
A police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Shivdhan Prasad Kathariya from the Majuwa Police Post has been deployed to the site. Efforts are underway to clear the debris and reopen the road, with coordination among the local government, district administration, police, and residents.
Police said road clearance operations will be intensified with the help of necessary machinery once the weather improves.
