Rabi Lamichhane to address Parliament on Bhotekoshi flood response

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chair Rabi Lamichhane is set to address the House of Representatives on Wednesday, focusing on the response to the devastating flood in Rasuwa.

According to an RSP lawmaker, Lamichhane will speak about the search for people affected by the flood, rescue operations, relief distribution and rehabilitation efforts.

The House of Representatives is scheduled to meet at 1 pm on Wednesday.

The agenda also includes several bills and proposals to be presented by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam.

Gautam is scheduled to present the Nepal Law Commission (First Amendment) Bill, 2026.

She will also present a proposal seeking consideration of the Mediation-related (Second Amendment) Bill, 2026.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the meeting may also consider a proposal concerning Nepal’s membership in the Council of Asian Legislative Institutions.
