Bhaktapur, April 7

Nepali Congress General Secretary Shashanka Koirala says he is working to bring two opposing factions of his party together.

Koirala claims he is taking initiatives to bridge the existing gap between party president Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel.

A hopeful leader also predicts that no one can stop the party from winning the next general elections and becoming the highest party again if it gets rid of factionalism.

Addressing a function organised by the party’s women wing, Nepal Women’s Association, on the occasion of upcoming New Year 2076 BS in Bhaktapur on Sunday, Koirala said there was no alternative to unifying and consolidating the party.
