Kathmandu, February 18
Police have arrested gangster Satya Man Lama in Lazimpat of Kathmandu on Monday night.
Personnel deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, in Maharajgunj, arrested him after he argued with on-duty police under the influence of alcohol. DSP Umesh Lamsal of the circle says further investigation is underway.
A permanent resident of Temal rural municipality-6 of Kavre district, Lama is also a member of the gang led by another gangster Dawa Lama.
Satya Man was arrested on a fraud charge last year, but Nabina Lama, a lawmaker of the ruling Nepal Communist Party, had forced the police to release him. He belongs to the grade A category of the gangsters as per the police classification.
